Hadaly Villasclaras

Hadaly Villasclaras (Spain) is a visual artist and software developer. Her work combines media and processes from traditional artistic practices, computational technologies, and digital narratives. She is interested in digital materiality and how symbolic and technical systems produce meaning and shape realities.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (2016) from the University of Málaga (Spain), where she also earned a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Artistic Production (2017). She earned a Higher Technical Degree in Web Application Development (DAW) (Barcelona, 2020-22) and was selected to participate in the Samsung Desarrolladoras Program for Women in STEM (2022).

Her work has been exhibited in institutions and art spaces such as Centro de Cultura Digital (Mexico City, 2020), Tabacalera (Madrid, 2019), Loom Festival (Barcelona, 2022), ATENEA – Women in Artistic Technologies (University of Valencia, 2018), Phoenix Institute of Contemporary Art (phICA) & Mesa Community College Gallery (USA, 2018), CAAC (Seville, 2015), solo_show (Online, 2020), Casa Antillón (Madrid, 2020), CAC (Málaga, 2017), BIUNIC 2017(Seville, 2017). Her work has also been featured in publications such as “A decade to download. The Internet Yami-Ichi 2012-21” (A Decade To Download Project) (Japan/Online, 2022); and on digital platforms specialized in art and visual culture like TZVETNIK, AQNB or Anti-Materia. She has also collaborated on the OntoExhibit research project of the UMA-Telefónica Chair (2024), and participated as a mentor in the 1st Feminist Hackathon organized by Yes We Tech at the Google Safety Engineering Center (2025).

As a software developer, she has worked as a Creative Technologist and Full-Stack Developer for several tech companies, design studios and cultural and educational institutions. Drawing on her background in design and visual arts, she has focused on creative technologies through which she has developed interactive projects integrating generative software, data visualization, gamified experiences, 3D, and machine learning. She is currently deepening her expertise in Web3 technologies and decentralized systems.
